Our Dubai campus in Jumeirah Lakes Towers is close to Sobha Realty Metro Station on the Red Line. General English classes run in the morning, around midday and in the evening, so you can fit an English course around work, study or family life in Dubai.

English classes in Ras Al Khaimah

All three General English options are also available at our Ras Al Khaimah campus in Al Hamra, with the same levels, teaching approach and rolling start dates.

Which General English course is right for you?

Levels and progress

Classes cover every skill (speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary) at CEFR levels A2 to C1, taught by CELTA-qualified teachers in small groups. Not sure of your level? Take our free English level test and we'll recommend the right class.

Spoken English classes in Dubai and RAK

Want to speak English with more confidence? Speaking is built into every General English lesson: you practise it every day in pairs and small groups, with a native English-speaking teacher correcting your pronunciation, grammar and word choice as you go. You learn the language, then you use it straight away in real conversations about work, travel and daily life in the UAE.

In Dubai, our social activities (two or three a month) give you more chances to speak outside the classroom. If you want to focus only on speaking, pronunciation or your accent, private one-to-one lessons let you spend every minute on it, in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah or online.

English course fees in Dubai and RAK

Four weeks of Part-Time General English costs AED 992, Semi-Intensive AED 2,830 and Intensive AED 4,560, and the weekly rate drops the longer you study. See all course prices or ask us for a quote.

General English: frequently asked questions

When can I start a General English course?

Semi-Intensive and Intensive courses start every Monday. Part-Time evening classes run on a rolling basis and you can book from 1 to 26 weeks.

Do you offer spoken English classes?

Yes. Every General English class includes daily speaking practice with a native English-speaking teacher, and pronunciation is part of the course. If you only want to work on speaking or your accent, private one-to-one lessons are the most focused option. In Dubai you can also join our monthly social activities to practise outside class.

How much does an English course cost in Dubai?

Four weeks cost AED 992 for Part-Time (evenings), AED 2,830 for Semi-Intensive (10 hours a week) and AED 4,560 for Intensive (20 hours a week). Longer courses have a lower weekly rate. Prices are the same in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

Do you have evening English classes for working adults?

Yes. Part-Time General English runs on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 19:00 to 20:30 (3 hours a week) in both Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

What is the difference between Semi-Intensive and Intensive?

Semi-Intensive is 10 hours a week (2 hours a day, Monday to Friday). Intensive is 20 hours a week (about 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday) and suits students who want to progress as quickly as possible.

What level do I need?

Classes run from CEFR A2 (elementary) to C1 (advanced). Take our free online level test and we will place you in the right class.

Are the courses available in Ras Al Khaimah?

Yes. Semi-Intensive, Intensive and Part-Time General English are all available at both our Dubai (JLT) and Ras Al Khaimah (Al Hamra) campuses.

Is there a minimum age?

Yes, General English group courses are for students aged 16 and over. For younger learners, see our English for School Success programme.
