Part-Time General English is designed for learners who want to improve their English without reorganising their lives. Three hours a week — two 90-minute evening sessions — fits naturally around a full-time job, a family, or other commitments, while still giving you consistent, structured contact with the language.
The course covers the same CEFR levels and communicative curriculum as the Semi-Intensive programme, just at a gentler pace. Rolling enrolment means you can start any week, and you can study for as many weeks as you need. Classes are kept small — a maximum of 7 students — and all teachers are native English speakers with CELTA qualifications.

What you'll cover
Speaking & Conversation
Weekly speaking practice in real-life contexts: conversations, discussions, and short presentations in a supportive small-class environment.
Grammar in Context
Core grammar taught through real examples and communicative tasks — not just rules and exercises.
Vocabulary
Build useful, topic-based vocabulary you can apply immediately in conversations outside the classroom.
Listening
Audio tasks and in-class discussions to sharpen your comprehension of natural spoken English across different accents and speeds.
Reading & Writing
Short reading and writing tasks to reinforce what you practise in class and develop accuracy in written English.
Our teaching approach
Part-time lessons at Speak follow the same communicative, task-based approach as all group courses — just spread across fewer sessions per week. Teachers focus each 90-minute session on practical, immediately useful language: the grammar and vocabulary you need for real conversations, not just exercises on a page.
With a maximum of 7 students per class, you still get individual attention and the chance to speak in every lesson. Rolling enrolment means you join at any time and leave when you're ready. Students who want to accelerate their progress can switch to the Semi-Intensive or Intensive course at any point.
