Our IELTS mock test is a full practice IELTS exam at our Dubai or Ras Al Khaimah campus. You take all four parts (Listening, Reading, Writing and a live Speaking test) with the same timings and question types as the real exam, and you get your band scores and feedback within 24 hours. It costs AED 275 and you book a time that suits you.
What's included in the IELTS mock test?
- All four skills: Listening (about 30 minutes), Reading (60 minutes), Writing (60 minutes) and Speaking (11 to 14 minutes).
- A live Speaking test with one of our native-speaker teachers, in the same three-part format as the real exam.
- Academic or General Training: tell us which version you are taking and we give you the matching Reading and Writing papers.
- Results in 24 hours: a band score for each skill, your overall band, and written feedback on your Writing and Speaking.
How much does the IELTS mock test cost?

What happens after the mock test?
If your scores already meet your target, you can book the real exam with confidence. If you are short in one or two skills, your feedback shows exactly what to work on. Many students then join our 3-week IELTS preparation course (AED 1,240, with three more full mock exams included). What you'll cover
Listening
Four recordings, 40 questions, about 30 minutes, with the same question types as the real test: multiple choice, form and note completion, maps and diagrams.
Reading
Three sections, 40 questions, 60 minutes. Academic texts or General Training texts depending on the version you need.
Writing
Task 1 (a graph, chart or process for Academic; a letter for General Training) and Task 2 essay, 60 minutes. Marked against the four official IELTS Writing criteria.
Speaking
A live 11 to 14 minute Speaking test with a native-speaker teacher in all three parts: interview, long turn and discussion. Marked against the four official IELTS Speaking criteria.
Our teaching approach
Your Writing and Speaking are marked by our native-speaker IELTS teachers against the four official IELTS criteria for each skill, so the band you receive reflects how an examiner would assess you. Listening and Reading are scored using the standard IELTS raw-score-to-band conversion.

How much is the IELTS mock test in Dubai?
AED 275 for a full mock test covering Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The price is the same at our Dubai (JLT) and Ras Al Khaimah campuses.
Does the mock test include Speaking?
Yes. You take a live 11 to 14 minute Speaking test with a native-speaker teacher, in the same three-part format as the real IELTS exam.
Is it for Academic or General Training?
Both. Tell us which version you are taking when you book and we give you the matching Reading and Writing papers. Listening and Speaking are the same for both versions.
When can I take the mock test?
Appointments are flexible. Message us on WhatsApp or use the booking form and we will arrange a day and time that suits you.
How quickly do I get my results?
Within 24 hours. You receive a band score for each skill, your overall band and written feedback on your Writing and Speaking.
Is this the official IELTS exam?
No. It is a full practice test run by Speak English Institute to show you your likely band score. The official IELTS exam is booked separately with the British Council or IDP.
How long does the mock test take?
About three hours in total: around 2 hours 45 minutes for Listening, Reading and Writing, plus 11 to 14 minutes for Speaking.
